Broadford 10 miles. This delightful, 100-year old detached stone croft cottage is nestled on a pretty hillside in the friendly, small crofting village of Camus Cross, within driving distance of the village of Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Solas means light in Gaelic, and the cottage has been converted into a modern, comfortable and beautiful home. This Camus Cross cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends who will simply love the breathtaking views and appreciate the wildlife and scenery. There are two bedrooms at this cottage near Broadford, with a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a 250 square feet sitting room, which was once the byre used by cows, sheep and horses! The sitting room is a bright and sociable area, which benefits from a welcoming multi-fuel stove, fully-folding oak doors that open onto a private front garden, double height ceiling, a multi-use games table and a high quality surround sound audio system. The lawned garden is the perfect place to relax on sunny days with a good book, that's if you can keep your eyes off the view! This is a truly magical location for a great holiday on Skye. EPC Rating: Band G

You can easily explore the whole island, I highly recomend starting from Portree, heading north to Brodaig, then turn left onto the pass, the road takes you through a gorge unique in the UK, utterly stunning but beware, you will want to turn artound and drive it again imediately when you reach the end. Then (once you compleye Skye) take a trip accross the bridge to explore one of the most scenic parts of the NC500 rouut, the pass over the mountain to Applecross where their fish and chips are the best ever and the scanery is incredible, I recomend a round trip via Sheildaig to return to Skye, allow a full day but beware, the pub is closed on Tuesday and opens again at 5PM on Wednesday. The cottage itslf is great and any issues reported are fixed imediately, we were unfortunate to arrive the the antenna cable for the TV was broken, fixed next day. Only issue is headroom in the bedrooms, getting up in the night for a touilet run usually resulted in a few bumps and swear words, but this does add to the charm.

All facilities in good order and as described in the literature. The view from the Croft is absolutely fantastic - the sea and mountains. All good and will happily recommend to friends.
