A very comfortable and cosy semi-detached, traditional stone cottage, situated in the friendly and vibrant Highland village of Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness. This cottage is perfect for a small family or group of friends who want to spend time in this fabulous area enjoying the stunning scenery and wildlife. There are two lovely first floor bedrooms - a double and a twin. The contemporary kitchen with dining area in your Highland cottage is extremely well-equipped, while just across the hall is the sitting room complete with large, comfy settee and armchairs surrounding a cosy woodburning stove. The front garden provides a great place to sit and relax whether it be for morning coffee or pre-dinner drinks. The village of Drumnadrochit is an ideal base for a Highland holiday as the famous Urquhart Castle with Visitor Centre is within easy walking distance of your Highland cottage as is the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition. The capital city of the Highlands, Inverness, is just 14 miles to the east, offering a host of activities, while a visit to the Culloden Battlefield with its state of the art visitor centre and exhibition is a must. For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts the area surrounding your Scotland cottage is rich in forests with tracks and pathways to explore. Drumnadrochit is a Highland village close to Loch Ness, offering the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition, a shop and post office and several cafes/tearooms. Walking can be enjoyed on The Great Glen Way, a 73 mile path which runs through the village on its way to Inverness. Inverness itself is only 14 miles away, home to an array of facilities including shops, pubs and museums,while Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (NT), is also within easy reach.

We really liked having the log fire after a long wet day, and the house is very welcoming for the dog.

Ideally located close to a lovely Inn and nearby woodland walks, it provided the perfect base for the two of us and our dog to explore the highlands. Hester the owner is very helpful and left us some tasty treats which were much appreciated.

There was everything you could want in a holiday. places to visit and pubs near by.Shops are only a short walk away in the village. Thank you for our welcome pack and even milk in the fridge. The bed was so comfortable after a busy day exploring. The only draw back was the bathroom was down stairs and the parking was a little bit tight at the back of the cottage other then that we had a brilliant time in Drumnadrochit.
