    This mid-terraced holiday property is situated in a leafy street in the Westerton Bearsden area of Glasgow. Located only 10 minutes by train from the cosmopolitan West End and the city centre with museums, gardens, art galleries and superb shopping, restaurants, entertainment and nightlife. It is also only 15 miles from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, one of Scotland’s most picturesque areas with excellent outdoor activities to be enjoyed including walking, cycling, golf, fishing, pony trekking and watersports. Visit the Trossachs Discovery Centre to learn more about this exciting area, or enjoy a cruise on the stunning Loch Lomond. Stirling, with its ancient castle, is also easily accessible for the day and well worth a trip as is the historic city of Edinburgh only an hour away. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    "My husband and I had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The property is small but the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. It's very handy to the train station so accessing Glasgow centre is very quick and easy."

    "We stayed here as my husband was working in Glasgow. It is in superb location, not far from Mugdock Country park and Highland way . You can get to Loch Lomond in under half hour and then take a train in central Glasgow as 2 mins walk to nearest train station. The cottage is beautifully kept, loved the garden room with sunshine coming. Jenette was on hand if you needed any help. The cottage was highly equipped with everything to higher standard than most with lots of cooking stuff, all small things you need for a stay. We loved it here and could also walk our dog to nearby park up the hill for short walks. The beautifu Mugdock park is amazing and had lots of walks within 2 mile drive away that links into highland way. My dog Jack loved that place. There are lots of supermarket ranges nearby and so close to main city for culture. We will come back definately"

    "Very pleasant and characterful little cottage to stay in, with an attractive garden. The owner lived next door so was on hand if any problems arose, but she wasn't at all intrusive. We experienced a problem when we first tried to use the cooker as the microwave was in the place one would normally expect the cooker to be and vice-versa. Perhaps some easy to follow instructions on display in the kitchen would be a good idea as I doubt if every guest has used a mini/combi oven before. I personally found the use of air fresheners to regularly spray the rooms over-powering, but that was just about the only thing I didn't like!"

    "We have stayed in the S23549 twice now and we would definitely return. It's in a great location which is quiet but also convenient for Glasgow city centre & beyond. The train station is 5 minutes walk so we took a trip to Edinburgh for the day which was great. Sainsbury's, Morrison's, Waitrose are all a short drive away. I'm sure there's more but that's all we needed. The owner lives next door and is very friendly and helpful if you need anything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage!"

    "Lovely, comfortable cottage, well equipped and in a convenient location near a railway station with regular trains into Glasgow. Jenette was very welcoming and left us a substantial "welcome pack". She was always available to help if needed. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough and hope to return!"

    "This was my second stay (in 6 months) at S23549 - a very comfortable and cosy base from which I was able to visit family and friends in central Glasgow. The cottage is extremely well equipped and has everything you could possibly need for a week away. I stayed for the last week in April so it was particularly nice to sit in the sun room/dining room with the doors open and enjoy the lovely weather whilst my dog pottered about in the garden!The location of the cottage is really handy for Westerton railway station and there is a great service in to Glasgow and further afield.Jenette is a great hostess and the welcome pack was a lovely touch, comprising of both essential and treat items!"

    "The cottage was historically interesting, beautifully clean, and Jenette was friendly and helpful. There were some downsides, though I feel mean mentioning them. The back garden was not very dog-proof, despite the addition of a couple of gates that our cockapoo bounded past immediately; the stairs were very steep; the bed was softer than we were used to; and the kitchen was a bit cramped. Equipment levels were inconsistent: there must have been about 50 plates but only two forks, and we ended up arranging our groceries on the worktop because the cupboards were so full of other stuff. The TV and DVD were not connected when we arrived, so we had to pull the units out and disconnect the Freesat to free up the scart cable. There were three radios but they were all non-working and ornamental. Overall we felt we were squatting in someone else's home rather than being given the space to make it our own."

    "S23549 was ideally located for our requirements. We know the area well. S23549 was very charming with everything you could want. Jeanette the landlady was very charming and supplied a very nice essentials pack. Would highly recommend this cottage. Beautiful garden covered in snow"
