The accommodation sits entirely over the ground floor and sleeps four people in one king-size double and one twin bedroom. A kitchen with dining table provides a fantastic focal point for guests, and a relaxing sitting room with a woodburning stove offers views across the rear garden, towards the summerhouse and the fields and forest beyond. The summerhouse comes with Sky TV and a barbecue, allowing you to you dine alfresco or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings amongst the fresh air. Gamepark Wood’s close proximity to the local red kite viewing station means there is always something worth watching overhead. Nearby, the tranquil atmosphere of the Ken-Dee Marshes Nature Reserve offers a delightful setting around Loch Ken and the River Dee, which you can stroll beside, sure to catch sight of a variety of birds. There is a dog run in the garden, which means your four-legged friends can enjoy their own relaxing day should you choose to head out exploring on your own. With great walking and cycling in the Galloway Hills Forest Park and superb fishing on Loch Ken, there is much here to tempt the outdoor enthusiasts. Spend a day on the beautiful beaches at Kippford, Rockcliffe or Sandyhills or head to the Cream o’ Galloway Visitor Centre, with its nature trails, before indulging in a treat or two, with artisan cheese and ice cream available.
