Snaptrip says

Badger Cottage is praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and peaceful farm surroundings. The hot tub is a highlight, although some guests noted a delay in heating. The location is ideal for exploring, but access via a rough track may challenge some vehicles. The cottage is well-equipped, yet some guests suggested additional kitchen utensils and better signposting. The Wi-Fi is limited due to thick walls, offering a chance to disconnect.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is generally very clean, with spotless bedding and towels. One guest mentioned dust in a bedroom and cleaning skirting boards, but this seems an exception rather than the rule.

The cottage's location is perfect for exploring and offers a peaceful environment. However, the approach via a rough track and poor signposting from the main road are noted concerns.

Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the setting tranquil. However, there are comments about the garden not being secure for dogs and the wet room floor being slippery.

Facilities like the hot tub and well-maintained equipment are appreciated, but guests reported issues with kitchen equipment, dishwasher, and oven malfunctions, and a lack of cleaning tools.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

I had to dust one bedroom as everywhere was covered in thick dust. I cleaned skirting boards in all bedrooms and bathrooms. All bedding and towels were spotless as was the kitchen. We found the lack of shelving or storage a problem in the bathrooms, there was nowhere to put toothbrushes/shower gels etc. The wet room could do with a overhaul altogether and a mop in there would have been handy as it just never fully dried and made the floor slippery. The kitchen was clean but could have done with a few more utensils. Our dishwasher didn't work on arrival but we had a new one fit after a couple of days. Our oven broke too resulting in us having to eat out, which dented our budget but the oven was replaced the following day. I am not sure who was at fault regarding the hot tub not being on, sykes or the cottage. It was switched on though and took 24 hours to warm up, one of the main reasons we booked was the hot tub. The position of the cottage as perfect for exploring and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The cottages could be an absolute gem if just a few things were added.

Brilliant location surrounded by the farms, peace and quiet. Our only concern is kitchen wasn’t very equipped, lack of salad bowl, lids pans and also nice comfy outside furniture will be great

A knife sharpener would be helpful. The cottage was very clean, the hot tub was a big hit with the family and we would not hesitate to return to Badger Cottage.
