Visit the attractive villages of Edzell and nearby Fettercairn with its popular distillery and slightly further afield is stunning Royal Deeside and the skiing venues of The Lecht and Glenshee. It was a lovely place to stay and the owner was welcoming and helpful to make sure we made the most of our visit, whilst giving us privacy. She even left us a delicious home made chocolate cake, and some eggs and avocado and also fresh flowers from the garden. The apartment was spotlessly clean and both the sofa and the bed were comfy. There was plenty of hot water and the kitchen area was very well equipped. It was lovely to have our own balcony, with views to the garden and fields. We were delighted to see deer going past. The roofspace is a great location for hiking in Aberdeenshire and Angus. On our three days we went up Mount Battock, the Goet and Conachraig without too much driving. Highly recommended.
