Set within a working livery and arable farm, the cottage is situated adjacent to the owner's home and is an oasis of calm with a delightful patio awash with colour. The sitting room is an amazing space with an open staircase leading to a feature galleried landing. The landing has a peaceful sitting area where you can curl up and read a book or look out for wildlife across the fields. The woodburning stove is a welcome addition to take the chill off cooler evenings, and as the cottage is centrally heated throughout, you are guaranteed a very comfortable stay. With three light and spacious bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom together with a wet room, this cottage is perfect for everyone. The wonderful city of York is a short drive from the cottage and offers a plethora of attractions for absolutely everyone. The awe-inspiring Minster is magnificent. Walking the walls offers a bird's eye view of the city and you can hop on and off discovering the history, culture and individual shops and cafes. The Shambles is an amazing medieval street, where the tops of the buildings almost meet. York is also home to The National Railway Museum, York Races, famous chocolatiers and of course the firm favourite; Bettys Tea Room. The area is full of surprises, from the delights of the Yorkshire Wolds, taking in the stunning Sledmere House and Gardens to the beautiful Howardian Hills and the magnificent Castle Howard. The Yorkshire Coast renowned for its mile after mile of golden sandy beaches and quaint fishing villages is less than an hour's drive away. Drive westwards and the scenic Yorkshire Dales are yours for the taking.

Strensall offers excellent commuter links and bus links into the historic city centre. This friendly village has good amenities including pubs, shops, a hairdressers, a bakery and a fish and chip shop, and there is also a village park and a superb golf course, with other alternatives close by. Just outside the village, the Strensall Common Nature Reserve is a conservation area with heathland and a wonderful array of wildlife, including birds, common lizards and adders.
