Mrs Pauline Austwick, Sheffield, South Yorkshire
"The Cottage met all our expectations and showed signs of the owners having a very clear understanding of how to provide everything for a comfortable family holiday. The owners were helpful, friendly, and available for help if required, but not intrusive. Extra features such as the adventure playground, practical yet good quality furniture, and attention to detail made it an ideal family base, for various age groups. There was just the right information and everything was well maintained and adequate for six people."
Mr Ronald De Jong, Den Haag,

"Pheasant cottage was all we could have possibly asked for in a holiday cottage. It was in a beautiful situation , very quiet and peaceful with lovely walks from the cottage, but close to Helmsley and Kirbymoorside. The cottage was spacious and very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The owners were helpful and friendly. The rocking chairs near the French windows were our favourite and we spent time relaxing and watching the birds feeding and looking out at the countryside."
Mrs Kate Whitwell, York, North Yorkshire

The log burning stove was a real treat too. The owners made us very welcome and even provided fresh flowers and a cake. We will definitely return!"

"We just spent the most enjoyable week in Pheasant Cottage. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped. The cottage was perfectly located for touring the North York Moors, the Scarborough/Whitby coastlines, visiting Castle Howard and a couple of day trips to York (National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum)."

Mrs Auty, Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross

"The cottage had everything we needed and ideally situated to visit surrounding areas. We would consider renting this cottage again if and when we visit that particular part of North Yorkshire. Owners even left us a cake! Nice touch."
