About this property

For a peaceful couple’s holiday in the heart of Whitby, stay at this gorgeous brick cottage located in the heart of Whitby on the historic Church Street. Whitby is a bustling seaside resort known for its spacious sandy beach, pretty medieval streets, vibrant harbour and iconic Whalebone Arch, all within 0.5 miles. For an iconic day trip, jump on a steam train at Whitby Station (0.5 miles) for a 24-mile journey through dramatic countryside, viewed through the window. You can also take the dog along for a restorative stay in this sweet accommodation.

On the ground floor of this cosy dwelling, you’ll have a welcoming seating area where you can prepare a meal. A functional kitchenette sets you up whipping up quick meals and snacks. A quaint, steep, ladder staircase leads up to a charming bed deck with a double bed and an atmospheric low ceiling. Here you will find the Smart TV.  Be sure to contemplate the night sky through the Velux window directly above the bed. Outside, you’ll have access to a shared patio with a bistro set – great for enjoying morning coffee before heading out for the day.

There are so many local beaches to discover nearby, with a local second beach at Tate Hill (0.5 miles) and a little further away, Upgang Beach and Saltwick Bay (both 1.5 miles). Dinky Cottage was a lovely stay! The location is brilliant and the cottage was so cosy. It was small but had been cleverly set up to have everything we needed. It needs a few tweaks but I'm pretty sure we were the first people to stay and these can be easily rectified. We would happily stay again.
