Well-appointed and spacious, this charming Snainton holiday cottage offers very welcoming accommodation, with a beamed, farmhouse kitchen, restful living room and bright, sunny bedrooms. Outside, this Snainton cottage has a large, delightful garden, a lovely place for relaxing on a summer's evening. The village of Snainton offers a country inn, whilst the nearby market town of Pickering has a good range of shops and tea rooms, an historic castle, trout fishing and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. The bustling seaside resort of Scarborough is only a few minutes' drive from this Snainton cottage, and has safe, sandy beaches, theatres, restaurants, golf courses and parks, while the Flamingo Park Zoo is only a little further away and provides a fun day out for all the family. Whether it's stunning countryside or coastal towns you're looking for, this Woodlands Cottage provides easy access for both.
Snainton, a charming little village at the foot of the North York Moors, is a great base for exploring the popular coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey. Snainton has two pubs that serve meals, a fantastic riding centre that caters to riders of all ages and skills, and a fantastic children's playground. A driving range with a par 3, 9-hole golf course is nearby, as are numerous walks, cycle trips, and country drives. Visit Scampston Walled Garden, which has a renowned restaurant, or Wykeham, 4 miles away, for a day of fishing, or Dalby Forest, which has excellent walking, mountain biking, and "Go Ape" walks for the more daring! Pickering, with its famed steam railway, castle, and Beck Isle Museum, and York, with its mediaeval city, are both easily accessible.

Total peace and tranquility but not far from great attractions. Fantastic sheltered hot tub in a glorious enclosed garden perfect for our four legged friend. Would recommend to all and will definitely visit again. Lovely friendly owners who left us a fantastic unexpected welcome gift.

A really good base for exploring North Yorkshire and a relaxing space to come back to after days out. The added bonus of a large enclosed garden for our dog to run around in which isnât always available with holiday lets. Joanne and Robert were great hosts and on site if you need anything during your stay.

The hot tub was so relaxing and sheltered so also private. The garden has a few security lights up so was well lit for you to stay out in the dark. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well both nights. Kitchen facilities were great, everything you needed down to kitchen foil. We didnât really use the sitting room much as we were outside but it was cosy for the tiny bit time we did sit in it. Both hosts were friendly and approachable and explained the basics when we arrived. It was nice to know they were close by (as the properties are attached) if we needed anything without them being in your face, added security is always good. We loved the peaceful surroundings and being surrounded by horses and sheep when we ventured out for our walks was a real treat. The whole weekend from start to finish was perfect, couldn't fault a thing. Thank you for making us welcome and will definitely be returning.
