Guests say

Rudda Farm Cottage is a peaceful, rural retreat praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and tranquil setting, making it an ideal base for exploring Scarborough, Whitby, and the Yorkshire coast. Guests appreciate the spacious layout, secure garden for dogs, and thoughtful touches on arrival. While some mention minor maintenance issues and dated appliances, the overall experience is positive, with many guests keen to return. The cottage offers excellent value for money and is especially suited to those seeking a quiet getaway in the countryside.

The majority of guests found the cottage very clean and tidy, with fresh bedding and towels. A few noted minor issues such as an unclean oven or general scruffiness, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its peaceful, rural setting and proximity to Scarborough, Whitby, and local attractions. Guests enjoy the countryside views and quiet atmosphere, though a car is recommended due to its remote position.

Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, cosy lounge furniture, and a spacious layout. Some noted issues with heating, pillows, or single bed mattresses, but overall comfort levels are high.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen essentials, two bathrooms, and a secure garden. However, several guests mention dated or faulty appliances (oven, microwave, TV), lack of clear instructions, and minor maintenance needs.

Many guests appreciated the welcome gifts of wine, biscuits, and milk, as well as dog-friendly touches. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Not the best. Dead flies everywhere. TV reception poor. General appearance quite scruffy.

Lovely cottage . We had a very relaxing time . It was not possible to walk the dogs easily from the doorstep as it was busy with the hay cutting and tractors up and down the road. Well equipped and super clean and comfortable. It had an information book but it was very generic no personalised suggestions of where to walk from the cottage . Close to but not on the North Yorkshire coastal path.

This is a charming cottage with easy access to Scarborough, Whitby and other coastal towns. The cottage was a lovely to relax in after a full day sightseeing. My grandchildren loved the additional retreat on the upper level in there bedroom. I would definitely book the cottage again.
