Our second visit. 10 mins drive into Scarborough, 25 mins drive to Whitby. Plus a good bus services to both, a short walk from the property. Three small points - Shower is fine, but a heavier curtain would stop it ‘clinging’. We’ll take our own cutlery next time. Present knives/forks are too small. The off-road parking space is totally unusable, due to many heaps of poo from roosting pigeons in the two enormous trees. BUT, it’s no problem as road parking is fine, OR as there were no occupants downstairs last week, we parked facing the entrance door, just away from the poo ‘trajectory’.

The location and comfort of the property was great. What let it down was the cleanliness of the kitchen. The grill pan hadn’t been cleaned and still had foil in it, the chopping board was grubby and smelled, all of the cutlery was worn/wobbly and difficult to eat with and the drainers in/on the sink were both dirty. The shower could do with a new curtain as it was also grubby and it was difficult to shower without it sticking to you. The rest of the property was pretty clean with just a few dusty areas. There were also cobwebs down the back of the bed where the plug sockets were. Positively the view is amazing, and the conservatory was a nice addition. The parking is quite tight, especially if there is a car in the other space. Also if you park under the tree be prepared for a significant amount of bird droppings on your car. There is plenty of space on the road outside to park.

Its position in relation to Scarborough, Whitby, Robins Hood Bay to name a few was perfect. I would recommend this property especially if you seek quietness and lovely views. Regrettably we had to leave early due to a family emergency which is my only regret …..I will book this property again.
