About this property

Filey 3 miles. This modern, mid-terrace property is situated on The Bay holiday village, just three miles from the traditional seaside town of Filey. With fabulous on-site facilities, along with direct access to a beautiful expansive sandy beach, it provides the perfect spot for an enjoyable family holiday. There is a comfortable sitting room with a dining area and French doors leading out onto a small, private rear patio, an ideal place to sit and relax, whilst enjoying a morning coffee and planning your day ahead. The separate kitchen caters for all needs, while upstairs are two bedrooms, with the double having an additional TV. Outside are extensive communal grounds with two lakes, barbecues and picnic areas for guests to enjoy, while the popular pub and Italian restaurant are just a five minute walk. A pleasant stroll brings you to a glorious Blue Flag beach, which provides a five mile playground and is perfect for paddling in the sea, building sandcastles and exercising your four legged friends. On the complex is a leisure centre with a large indoor heated swimming pool, children's pool, sauna, steam room and a gym, which guests have unlimited access to. Outdoor pursuits include tennis courts, a fishing lake, bike hire, a putting green and archery. With such a choice of activities, you can leave your car parked up for your entire stay. A delightful walk along the shore will bring you into Filey, a traditional seaside town that offers something for everyone, but remains unspoilt and retains an Edwardian elegance. Saunter along the pretty promenades, wander down to the unique cobble landing for fishing boats, or go rockpooling and crabbing on Filey Brigg. Why not blow the cobwebs away with an exhilarating clifftop walk, part of the Cleveland Way, with its sweeping views along the coastline? For children, the nearby Playdale Farm Park is a must, come rain or shine as there is a huge indoor play area and interactive paddocks where children can join in and feed the animals. The surrounding area has so much to offer, with the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds and stately homes such as Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House to visit. A little further along the coast lies Bempton RSPB Reserve, abounding with nesting seabirds on the chalk cliffs, including puffins in the summer months, a sight not to be missed. With the larger resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington close by, there is no shortage of things to do in this popular area.

Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set beside the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand, with Filey Brigg and its shallow rockpools to the north. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels.
