Guests have praised the cottage for its comfortable amenities, peaceful and picturesque location, and proximity to excellent walking routes. The views are consistently described as stunning, and the property is appreciated for its tranquillity and wildlife. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain kitchen items were noted, the overall experience is reported to be very relaxing and enjoyable.
The reviews do not extensively detail cleanliness, but the absence of negative comments suggests that guests found the cottage to be clean. One mention of slugs and mice indicates a slight concern, but this is often expected in rural properties and does not seem to be a major issue for guests.
The location is highly praised for its peace, tranquillity, and access to moor walks. Guests love the remote setting and the proximity to Whitby and other areas, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the location.
The cottage is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, particularly for smaller groups. Some guests found the bedrooms and bathroom snug, suggesting that while the cottage is comfortable, space may be limited for larger parties.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a log burner and enclosed garden. However, there are comments about the kitchen lacking certain items and some furnishings showing age, indicating room for improvement in this category.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the reviews provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, cottage was lovely and warm with the added advantage of having a log burner. The area is so peaceful and views are fantastic which made our stay very relaxing. There are plenty of places to visit with in reasonable distance. We would love to stay again in the future, maybe the summer time to enjoy the potential great walks in the area and the views in the sunshine.

Love holiday home set in the Yorkshire moors with the most beautiful views. Surrounded by countryside and farm animals, and very peaceful. Whitby is just about 20 minutes drive where you can get everything you need, and is a great place to explore too. Is a great place for exploring the Yorkshire moors and surrounding areas. Comfy and clean and dog friendly too.
