About this property

A superb, detached stone cottage set on the edge of the owner's farm in the North Yorkshire village of Hinderwell, one mile from the coast. With a pretty chocolate box exterior, step inside this beautiful Hinderwell cottage to a contemporary open plan living space, perfect for a luxurious, relaxing romantic break. Fully renovated, this Hinderwell cottage retains some original features, with stripped wooden floors, exposed timbers and a stable door, but has been modernised with a designer kitchen, glass dining table and high quality fixtures and fittings, all beautifully styled. The spacious sitting area in your Yorkshire cottage boasts comfortable seating, whilst a rear door leads to an enclosed decked patio, complete with hot tub - an absolute delight to sit and relax in with a glass of bubbly at the end of the day! From the living area of this Yorkshire holiday cottage, a wrought iron spiral staircase leads up to the two double bedrooms, one with a sumptuous super king-size bed, whilst the large, modern bathroom leads off from the spacious hallway. A five minute walk from your cottage in Hinderwell brings you to the excellent village amenities, including several pubs, a good butcher's, local shops and a bistro, whilst the sea lies only a few minutes further. Close by are the old fishing villages of Runswick Bay and Staithes, with their cobbled, narrow streets and sandy beaches, rich with fossils and rock pools. Enjoy a bracing cliff-top walk on the Cleveland Way or visit the seaside town of Whitby with its imposing abbey, many independent shops and famous fish and chips. With the stunning North York Moors National Park on the doorstep and numerous attractions such as the steam railway at Grosmont, this Hinderwell cottage pleases everyone. A fabulous base for a cottage holiday in North Yorkshire. Note: This cottage can be booked with Ref. 3650 to sleep 8.

With shops and pubs, and close to the picturesque fishing towns of Staithes and Runswick Bay, Hinderwell is a small but bustling rural village. Just nine miles from the charming harbour town of Whitby, Hinderwell is ideally located for exploring the surrounding countryside, ranging from the dramatic cliffs and smugglers' coves of the coastline to the deep, secluded dales of the North York Moors National Park. This is a wonderful area for walking, cycling and fishing.

When I arrived, all those stresses instantly melted away. I was greeted by the lovely host who showed us to the accommodation. The cottage itself was lovely and warm on arrival with complimentary snacks. The main bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub in the back garden was a lovely addition. Would highly recommend it.

We loved it from the moment we walked in. The hot tub was a bonus for our aching legs after we had been out with our dog Buddy. Great location for walking the Cleveland way and plenty of other places a little way in the car if you don't fancy walking. We were made very welcome by the site manager Debbie, a very lovely helpful lady. Very informative. Lovely food at the Badger Hounds worth a visit. All in all we had a lovely break, just what the doctor ordered, Thank you St. Hildas Complex

Cottage is part of a wider complex. We were well looked after and the cottage is great. Considering it is pet friendly it is in really good condition. We had a very good week here.
