About this property

Filey 2 miles. An attractive end-terrace property situated in the pretty village of Muston, two miles from the popular seaside town of Filey. This lovely cottage featured on children's TV programme Mr Bloom's Nursery on CBeebies in February 2013, and provides warm and welcoming accommodation for family or friends. Offering an attractive cottage style kitchen with Belfast sink and double oven, this Filey cottage also provides two bedrooms and a cosy sitting room with a homely woodburner. Outside this Filey cottage, there is a small sheltered courtyard with a snicket leading to a delightful, separate lawned garden overlooking open paddocks - an ideal, peaceful spot to sit and relax. A local inn is within 2 minutes' walk whilst a short drive brings you to the superb long beaches of Filey. This quaint, unspoilt seaside town offers a historic harbour, long promenades and a good selection of shops and tea rooms. Hire one of the colourful beach huts overlooking the sea or take a traditional pony ride along the wide expanse of sand. Just outside the town lies a country park with an animal sanctuary nearby whilst for walkers, Filey marks the start of the long distance coastal hike of the Cleveland Way. With easy access to Scarborough and the North York Moors and Yorkshire Wolds, this Filey cottage is in an enviable location.

Filey is a seaside resort on the North East Coast. Filey has been a seaside resort since Victorian times and is set on Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand with its shallow rock pools.

Everything you would need, like home from home. A lovely welcome pack was much appreciated. Sunnyside cottage is in the beautiful village of Muston not far from Filey, had a day at Scarborough too and even a day in Whitby which was less than an hours drive. A lovely base to explore this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Will definitely be back in the future

The back yard was super secure and lovely area for dog walking. The reading snug in the lounge was simply the best little touch, with the wood burner alight, a glass of wine and a good book, a tiny piece of heaven. The host was really helpful and friendly. If I could recommend one improvement it would be the beds, they’ve all seen better days and need replacement mattresses and ideally the double bed exchanged for a bigger one, plenty of room in the bedroom to accommodate a king size and that would make the stay just about perfect

Generous welcome pack. Suited our family of two adults and one child, not forgetting our pet dog. Muston is a great location for exploring this area. There is a paved back yard. The grassed garden is a short walk away- must be lovely to sit out in sunny weather and was a necessity for our dog first and last thing. Our dog was always supervised due to multitude of local dog walkers using the pathway at back of the house and two ponies in opposite field during the day. An unusual request for no pan lids to be used had us a bit surprised! Despite the owners explanation of lids possibly causing damage to the hob top - I've always found pan lids ensure food cooks quicker and reduces steam in the kitchen. It's a pity there are some clumsy cooks! Perhaps owners could consider fitting a small dish washer. This could be a real asset as most of us are used to this as a necessity not a luxury.
