The lovely village of Thornton-le-Dale is situated close to Pickering on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Thornton-le-Dale offers a pretty village green which still has on it wooden stocks and a market cross, with amenities coming in the form of a selection of shops, pubs and tea rooms. Pickering boasts a good range of enhanced amenities and the famous North York Moors Steam Railway, whilst the city of York is within driving distance.
