    Mr Johnstone
"Clean and comfortable and well located. Some lovely pubs within easy drive. Close to castle Howard York and Helmsley"
    Mr Talbot-garman
"The only thing that could have been improved upon was the temperature during the night inside the cottage. Otherwise it was lovely."
    Mrs Conabeer
"Lovely little cottage, which has been tastefully decorated & kitted out and was in an ideal location for us. The owner was extremely helpful, flexible & accommodating. Cottage was well supplied with 'extras' such as a nice packet of cookies, books, DVDs puzzles & games, as well as some useful 'basics' such as washing up liquid, soap, dishwasher capsules, teabags & pepper/salt. Lots of helpful information in the welcome folder - just wish we'd read the bit about alternative bedding earlier, as my husband's allergic to feathers, so spent quite a bit of the time sneezing & wheezing! We thought the only thing that we would change would be to update & change the layout of the bathroom, to give a little more space."
    Mrs Moir
    "Great location and very relaxing"
    Mrs Greenwold,
"Fantastic holiday in a wonderful venue."
    Mr Gareth Roberts, tynygongl,
"A great cottage in a lovely location, it would be hard to find better. It was spotlessly clean, we will return again."
    Mrs Claire Bishop, Bourne, Lincolnshire
"The cottage was so lovely, very well designed and although small it had everything we needed for a good family holiday. A great location for exploring the area too."
    Mr Hugh Graham, Glasgow, Lanarkshire
"We really felt most welcome in this lovely cottage. Thought put into small details to make you feel at home. "
    Mrs Caroline Jeffery, Deeside,
"Secret View Cottage was gorgeous. From the minute you walked in the door you felt instantly at home. The décor was as cosy looking as the pictures and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Upstairs the double bedroom was lovely - the bed itself was so comfy and there was not a sound from outside or any street lights to keep anyone awake. A good location for exploring both the coast and York itself."

"This is a gorgeous cottage, beautifully decorated, stylish yet still cosy. It feels like the owner has tried to anticipate the guests' needs and has succeeded. It is a great base for this area, which has great scenery and is a foodies paradise. Several eateries within a short drive with great food and service at really reasonable prices. Also very near the cottage is a lovely Lavender farm and Castle Howard, the house, grounds and shop not to be missed. I'd go back like a shot"
