    This stone built, detached cottage is situated in a quiet location, just five minutes' walk from the centre of Pickering market town. Retaining much of the building's original character, this 200 year old cottage boasts traditional wood floors, stripped pine doors and beamed ceilings, giving it a welcoming, homely feel. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, guests will enjoy the fitted country kitchen with dining area and the lounge, with its flame effect electric stove. With two bedrooms

    With its wide range of amenities and traditional shops, pubs and restaurants, the market town of Pickering serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Visitors can enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway whilst fans of the Harry Potter films will recognise some of the locations used in the Philosopher's Stone! The Beck Isle Museum is within easy reach and is well worth visiting for its unique collection of black and white photography and displays of rural life. The rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors make them a wonderful place for walking and cycling, whilst the city of York and the Heritage Coast are just half an hour's drive away.
    The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secludeddales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
