There is a leisure barn on site with a pool, sauna and spa and the village has a children's play area, excellent walks with lovely views and a steam railway that takes passengers through beautiful countryside. Lovely cosy and comfortable property with everything we needed for our holiday. We enjoyed the courtyard directly outside of Owl cottage, which has picnic benches and chairs and is surrounded by fragrant flowers-it is shared but we had it to ourselves as there are several other areas to sit outside, including a pretty garden with ponds (accessed via a locked gate so safe with children around). The owners are exceptionally welcoming (fabulous cake, thank you) and clearly put a lot of effort into the properties. They ensured we had all the information we needed to enjoy the facilities (swimming pool, hot tub etc) and there was plenty of information about attractions in the area. We would definitely stay here again.
