Step into the sitting room, boasting a Smart TV, a multi-fuel stove housed in the inglenook and beautiful shades of periwinkle and plum in the sumptuous furniture and house-hold accessories. Across from here is the ground floor bathroom with a free standing claw-foot bath, a walk-in shower and sleek, modern fixtures completing the interior in a polished fashion. The village of Melsonby is situated just a few miles to the north of the market town of Richmond. The village itself has a lovely old church, a real ale pub. There are footpaths and bridleways in every direction and fishing is available nearby. Richmond grew up around its castle set high above the River Swale, with panoramic river views. Within Richmond, narrow streets and alleys radiate from the cobbled Market Place and there are numerous pubs and restaurants to enjoy.

The cottage is beautifully finished, very well equipped and located in a lovely village which is only a short drive from 3 larger towns. The welcome pack was very comprehensive with great quality items.

The welcome basket was the best we've ever had and was very thoughtful. Sofa and beds were extremely comfortable and the fairy lights in the kitchen was a lovely touch. Great info from the owners before we arrived. Locals were very friendly and there was a party on behind us on one night so we sat outside listening to the live music. Plenty to do nearby so a great location. Very minor but we couldn't find an oven glove. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
