Offering wholesome food and hand pulled ales, and being just a stones’ throw from the property, is it ideal should you fancy eating out. A welcome alternative that proves hugely popular is the once monthly mobile Thai kitchen, which parks up on the village green and cooks fantastic food. For groceries, Leyburn is 4 miles away and has convenience stores aswell as an award-winning delicatessen and winery. Fresh eggs are available in the village and a newspaper can be provided at the nearby farm.

Historical castles and ruins are numerous with Bolton Castle almost on the doorstep, and Middleham Castle a few miles away. From Middleham square you can sit and watch the impressive sight as the race horses pass through on their way to the gallops. Very enjoyable week at Redmire. Weather for mid November was excellent so very favourable walking conditions. Accommodation very suitable for four adults. Shops reasonably close at Leyburn. Recommended.

Fantastic week away. Cottage was beautiful , very comfortable and extremley clean. Never expected such a lovely welcome pack for us with everything in it, loved the bottle of milk and cheese in fridge. But the biggest surprise was the lovely welcome pack for our dog, biscuits etc. but more amazing everything for Beau just in case we forgot anything, bowl, bed, extend lead. Very thoughtful owners definately wanting their guests to enjoy their stay. Wil be back, hopefully for a longer stay. 100% effort.

A very well equipped and comfortable cottage in a great location. It was very clean with a very comfortable and cheerful decor. Lovely walks from both the front door and close by. Redmire is a lovely village with great access to the Dales and we will certainly return.
