The market town of Leyburn, known as the ‘Gateway to Wensleydale’ has a weekly market, tea rooms, pubs and shops. Only seven miles away is the market town of Richmond with cobbled, narrow streets, a weekly and monthly farmers’ market, wonderful architecture and castle walls. Within reach are many attractions and places to visit, including Constable Burton Hall Gardens, The Forbidden Corner, ruins of Castle Bolton and Middleham, with its Norman Castle. Also in the area are Aysgarth Falls, the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, with pretty villages to visit and of course an abundance of walks and cycle routes. A cosy retreat, with something for everyone close by.
