Guests say

Guests consistently praise Luke's House for its tranquil and picturesque setting in North Yorkshire, ideal for peaceful retreats and nature walks. The cottage is celebrated for its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and homely touches. While some minor issues with garden maintenance and bathroom facilities are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is frequently described as very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, rural setting, and proximity to walking paths and local villages, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful getaway.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. There is a single mention of the dining table being slightly small for larger groups, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests appreciate the open fire. However, there are some comments about the bathrooms being basic and the garden's upkeep, which slightly lowers the score.

Guests mention thoughtful touches to the decor and a welcome with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such gifts are a courtesy and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We enjoyed our week away from it all. Located near footpath. Local village with pub and Deli provided bread and pastries.

Amazing setting with wonderful views. So lovely to get away and enjoy such a peaceful location. Cottage had a good homely feel to it and was good to have the fire on in the evenings after a day's walking. Not too far from Askrigg or Bainbridge pubs and cafes. A return visit is definitely on the cards.
