Tasteful throughout, this Yorkshire holiday cottage provides ideal accommodation for a small family or couple to get away from it all. With two excellent pubs just a short stroll, The Bruce Arms is a traditional country inn where you can enjoy sitting in front of real log fires tucking into a home-cooked meal and a hand-pulled local ale. The Bull is a very old traditional country inn set on the banks of the river and was once the ferryman’s cottage and the artist JMW Turner drew scenes of the nearby ancient Marmion Tower on one of his many tours of Yorkshire. The amenities of Masham, including the Black Sheep Visitors’ Centre and Bistro, and the twice-weekly markets are on hand, whilst excellent walking is on the doorstep. Market towns such as Richmond, Leyburn and Hawes are also within easy reach. This West Tanfield cottage is an excellent base to enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The small picturesque village of West Tanfield is situated on the banks of the River Ure, at the eastern end of Wensleydale in the midst of some of Yorkshire's most beautiful scenery. It comprises a scattering of dwellings and farmsteads, and also offers two excellent old pubs and a store/Post Office.
