About this property

Pateley Bridge 0.3 miles. This lovely Victorian, stone-built mid-terrace cottage is situated on the outskirts of the popular town of Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, ten miles from Grassington. With lovely views over the town, this stylish property is ideal for a family, couples or group of friends looking to explore this scenic part of the Yorkshire Dales. The owners have lovingly furnished the cottage throughout to provide a first-class property. The sitting room has comfortable sofas in front of a warming open fire, ideal for curling up on after a busy day of exploring. The kitchen is very well-appointed for cooking up delicious meals which can be enjoyed around the dining table, or on sunny days step outside onto the patio and enjoy dining alfresco as you soak up the stunning views over the town and to the dales beyond. Also on the ground floor is a contemporary bathroom with a small utility room next to it. Upstairs, via the original stone staircase, there are two delightful bedrooms; a double and a twin. The charming twin room also enjoys views over the village. A short stroll from the property, across the river, is the delightful Pateley Bridge with its range of traditional pubs, restaurants and gift shops. For a special occasion why not head to The Yorke Arms, an 18th century coaching house situated in the beautiful Nidderdale Valley which boasts a Michelin starred restaurant? Alternatively you may wish to walk along the river to the Sportman's Arms for an early evening drink. Lace up those walking boots and discover the Nidderdale Way, which can be accessed from the doorstep, or the fascinating Brimham Rocks. Alternatively visit the majestic Fountains Abbey, a World Heritage Site. Cyclists can enjoy revisiting the 2014 Tour de France route which passed nearby or explore the quieter roads of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The picturesque village of Grassington is within driving distance as are the towns of Skipton and Harrogate. A wonderful cottage in a well-located area.

The lovely town of Pateley Bridge is situated in the steep-sided valley of the River Nidd. The town offers interesting shops, pubs, restaurants, prize-winning floral displays, a museum, a leisure centre and a riverside park with children’s play area.

Everything worked! Rooms clean and comfortable. Nice little verandah and great views, and very convenient for the village. Stairs a little steep but hand rail secure. Would thoroughly recommend it.

It was a delightful cottage with all the facilities and comforts required. It is located within less than a few minutes walk to one of the most beautiful villages in the dales. Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale is a beautiful location with houses built in Yorkshire stone and set on the banks of the bubbling River Nidd as it tumbles through dales and hills of emerald green. Apart from its delightful little shops and pubs it also plays host to the oldest traditional sweet shop in the country. The jewel of Yorkshire, York City, is within an hours reach as is Harrogate and the famous Fountains Abbey. The owner of the cottage was delightful to talk too as was the lovely chocolate cake and wine we arrived too. Despite the the September rain, an occupational hazard of any Autumn break, we still had a wonderful holiday in the dales and found plenty to entertain us on our holiday.

It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The wine and cake on arrival along with Tea, Coffee and Milk was much appreciated. The narrow lane to the property was a challenge, but not a problem if taken slowly and carefully. Overall a really enjoyable stay in Pateley Bridge.
