Lovely property and very lovely owners. Delightful last minute booking at this extended cottage. When we arrived in the dark there was a fire roaring in the log burner and the house was warm and cosy. The owners had left a welcome bag of treats from their well stocked farm shop which is right next door. They made sure we had everything we needed and came back a couple of times to give us helpful information and maps of the local area. The beds were very comfy with Egyptian cotton sheets and beautiful handmade soap was provided with the copious towels. We were particularly grateful for the dishwasher tablets, washing machine powder and spare bin liners and loo roll - all very thoughtful. We were also impressed with the good quality saucepans and sharp knives. We really enjoyed exploring the beautiful local area. We had all the convenience of being close to the A19, yet it felt completely quiet and secluded back at the cottage.
