About this property

Wigglesworth 3 miles. A delightful stone-built, semi-detached cottage, next to the owners' home, in a remote location, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and just three miles from the pretty village of Wigglesworth. This charming cottage has been renovated throughout, retaining the character of the original dwelling, and provides ideal accommodation for a peaceful and relaxed countryside break. Upstairs, the cottage provides two inviting bedrooms and a family bathroom, complete with a separate shower and bath tub for soaking tired legs after exploring this magnificent area. Downstairs you will find an excellent, spacious living area, complete with a glorious woodburning stove and comfortable seating. There is a light and airy kitchen, perfect for enjoying breakfast at the table and taking in the tranquil surroundings. For a more lavish meal, a large dining table is also available in the sitting room. Outside, table and chairs are provided, set within a beautiful garden. Nearby Wigglesworth is a small picturesque village with an award-winning pub serving fine ales and food. With walks from the doorstep and the Yorkshire Dales' Three Peaks just a short drive away, the local area is a walker's dream. To the west, the largely undiscovered Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers a wide range of unspoilt landscapes to explore. The local area has an abundance of caves and waterfalls, while the Settle-Carlisle Railway is famed for being one of the country's most scenic train journeys. With the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District within easy reach, this cottage provides a superb holiday base at any time of the year.

Everything we needed was there. We liked having lots of towels in the airing cupboard as holiday cottages often only give you a couple. The house was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of room outside for our dog to run about.
