About this property

A delightful, stone-built terraced cottage, in a quiet courtyard setting less than a minute's walk from Skipton's historic high street. This Skipton cottage is full of character and charm, making an ideal romantic retreat. Renovated to a high standard, this lovely Skipton cottage boasts quality fittings and lovely furnishings, including a spacious bedroom, a modern bathroom, feature arched window and a warm, cosy sitting room. Skipton, well known as The Gateway to the Dales, has a medieval castle, canal boat trips to be enjoyed, a swimming pool, golf course, excellent cycling routes, tennis courts and a myriad of walks including easy rambles and challenging fell walks within close proximity of the town. Also close at hand is a wide selection of restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops for eating out, and the traditional market sells fresh produce throughout the year including local cheeses, fish, meats and fresh vegetables. An ideal Skipton cottage, whatever the time of year.

Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This market town has much to interest the visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. Enjoy a canal trip on a traditional barge or visit Embsay Steam Railway, which has regular steam train excursions at the weekend and is only 1 mile away.
