About this property

Situated on the outskirts of Threshfield, a stone’s throw from the River Wharf and Linton Falls, is this delightful, four star visit England accredited end-terrace cottage. Set over three floors, with a homely AGA, woodburning stove and bright, spacious bedrooms, it is the perfect choice for families and friends exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The ground floor is made up of a large, comfortable kitchen where you can sit around the table and discuss the day’s adventures while tasty meals are being prepared. After a good meal, and a long walk, everyone can retire to the sitting room and relax by the woodburner whilst you decide where to explore next. On the first floor are two good-sized bedrooms, one with a lovely en-suite with a large walk-in shower, as well as a family bathroom. Up on the second floor, in a fantastic loft space enjoying pretty views of the river from the eaves window, are twin beds and an additional pull-out stacker bed for flexibility. Outside the cottage is pure tranquillity, where you can often hear beautiful birdsong and the river as it rushes by. You can easily walk down to the picturesque Linton Falls, or venture into Threshfield for a bite to eat at the local pub. There are an abundance of walks to enjoy through the Dales, and a visit to Grassington, Skipton and Bolton Abbey are an absolute must! A fabulous little cottage in a wonderful location!

The small village of Threshfield in Upper Wharfedale borders the nearby villages of Grassington, Linton, Hetton, Cracoe and Rylstone. Grassington, only one mile away, is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where you will find traditional stone cottages and shops, along with a monthly farmers' market, and further afield is the market town of Skipton.

The cottage is very spacious easily accommodating up to 6 people. Loved the Aga. It had everything you could need, very well equipped indeed. It is perfectly situated for Grassington, being a 10 minute walk away. There is an excellent pub in Linton, The Fountaine Inn, a traditional country pub serving good food and ale. Plenty of walks from the cottage, particularly along the River Wharfe, taking you to places such as Hebdon where The Old School cafe is, an excellent stop off for coffee and wonderful cake. On the whole this was a great week in the Dales, just love it. Highly recommend it, in fact we have booked again, can’t wait.

Sophie's attention to detail is exemplary and the cottage is extremely well equipped. The Aga was a bonus as we had a very wet week but were out walking every day and we were always able to dry our kit on the airer. The supply of logs was another bonus and again much appreciated given the poor weather. The beds were very comfortable as were the eating and living areas. Another example of attention to detail was the range of goodies that Sophie had left for us - Prosecco, mince pies, chocolates etc. This was very kind and thoughtful.
