About this property

Nestled in the rural hamlet of Hubberholme, in North Yorkshire, resting within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is this stunning stone cottage. You are situated in a wonderful rural countryside area, with far-reaching views giving you a sense of a peace and tranquillity to your holiday. Entering the property, you will be greeted to a spacious open-plan sitting room with two large sofas where you can relax and unwind into the evening, whilst catching up with your favourite shows. Delight in the characterful features, such as the exposed beams and a stone inglenook fireplace which houses the woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chillier winter months. Walk through to the spacious kitchen with its modern white fitted units and sleek black granite worktops, housing a range of contemporary appliances so you can easily cook up a delicious meal for the whole family! The living room has a small dining area where you can enjoy a romantic meal of an evening, or a hearty breakfast whilst you plan the day's events. Follow the steps up to the first floor and discover one well-presented king-size bedroom, perfect for getting some much needed rest for the day's ahead. Enjoy the family bathroom with an elegant bath and shower over, so you can have a relaxing soak at the end of a tiring day. There is a front garden with lawn and patio areas, where you can sit out with a refreshing drink in the evening sun. A short walk away is a local pub, which is famous for being the place writer J. B. Priestley frequently visited, the perfect spot for enjoying a drink or a delicious meal. Situated in the centre of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, visit Malham Cove, a limestone formation formed by a waterfall during the last Ice Age more than 12,000 years ago, perfect for those who enjoy a spot of history. You are within reach of plenty of rivers and lakes, ideal for those who are looking for watersporting activities. Visit the Pen-y-ghent, a fell which has plenty of walking and hiking opportunities for those avid sporty types seeking to explore this rural area. Further afield is the picturesque Lake District National Park and the North Pennines AONB, for a plethora of other country sites. Church Farm Cottage is the perfect base for accessing all the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

Nestling at the foot of Buckden Pike, near the head of Upper Wharfedale, this idyllic village makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of Upper Wharfedale is National Trust owned – an indication of the beauty of its classic countryside, with dry-stone walls and barns, important flower-rich hay meadows and valleyside woodland. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best walking areas in the Dales with The Dales Way passing nearby

The location is perfect for walking the Upper Wharfedale sections of the Dales Way and many interconnecting paths and bridleways. The historic church and The George Pub add to the benefits. Thanks to Gill for the welcome and homemade flapjack!! Cheers John & Karen
