There are also many walks available in the area and the canal is just a short stroll away where you can go on some lovely bike rides, perhaps all the way to nearby Skipton, where you will find a bustling high street full of traditional pubs, shops and restaurants, as well as the medieval castle. Other attractions include canal boat trips, walks through the enchanting Skipton Woods and shopping at the town centre’s market. Not to be missed is nearby Malham, with its famous limestone cove and spectacular scenery. For lovers of the great outdoors, the area offers an abundance of walking trails, as well as the famous Three Peaks for those wishing for something a little more challenging. The cottage provides a perfect holiday base for exploring or relaxing in the Yorkshire Dales at any time of the year.

A pretty village around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire.
