About this property

You will find lovely walks on your doorstep but when you are ready to explore the local area.

A delightful cottage situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just inside the Forest of Bowland on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Originally a 19th Century shippon which has been sympathetically converted and tastefully furnished, the cottage offers a very comfortable and extremely well equipped base, equally suited for a peaceful escape or active holiday. The owners live very close by, ready with a warm welcome and lots of information on the local area. The cottage has attractive lawned gardens to the front and rear and offers access over the neighbouring field with a pretty stream - a great space for families to enjoy. You will find lovely walks on your doorstep but when you are ready to explore the local area, the market town of Settle is a short drive away with shops and local amenities including golf, swimming, the stunning Settle to Carlisle railway and conservation centre. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy visiting Malham Cove, Tarn and Gordale Scar as well as nearby Ingleborough Caves and Waterfalls. If you fancy a challenge then the Three Peaks, Penyghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, offer spectacular walking and afterwards you can enjoy a well earned drink on your own balcony overlooking one of your conquests - Ingleborough Mountain. Further afield the Lake District is approximately a 45 minute drive.
