The picturesque location in the Yorkshire Dales offers both tranquillity and opportunities for outdoor activities. Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as clean and tidy, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness upon arrival. The attention to detail in maintaining a hygienic environment contributes to the overall positive experience.

The cottage's location in the Yorkshire Dales is frequently praised for its beautiful views and proximity to local amenities and walking routes. The scenic and convenient setting enhances the appeal of the property.

Guests find the house comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and sufficient space for large groups. However, a single comment about an uncomfortable double bed suggests a slight deduction from an otherwise perfect comfort score.

The array of facilities, including a hot tub, games room, and cinema room, are well-received, with many guests specifically mentioning them as highlights. There are minor suggestions for additional kitchen items and a note on a prompt response to a maintenance issue with the washing machine.

The host's thoughtfulness is highly commended, with numerous mentions of personal touches such as welcome gifts, decorations, and assistance. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such extras, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Nearby Skipton known as The Gateway to the Dales, is a popular old market town, ideal for an enjoyable day out where you can visit its medieval castle, celebrated cobbled high street and a colourful market. Further afield, other popular spots include Haworth, Grassington, Malham, Bolton Abbey and many more. This holiday home is ideal for large families and groups of friends, wanting to get away and enjoy what the stunning local area has to offer. With the Yorkshire Dales and Bronte Country on the doorstep, this makes for a perfect holiday base.

The ancient village of Cowling sits across a hillside in the Pennine Hills, just seven miles from the market town of Skipton. A thriving village, built along a main high street with stone-built, terraced houses set alongside the mills of a bygone age. The village was once sparsely populated, the bulk of the population living in Ickornshaw and Middleton, and before that on Cowling Hill, close to water sources they depended on, and the main roads of the day - now used as back roads by locals to avoid the modern day traffic. In the early days, agriculture was the main occupation, with corn being grown and ground within the village. When canal transport boomed, corn became cheaper to buy from elsewhere and so the mills in Cowling turned from grinding corn to weaving during the Industrial Revolution. The village inn was once part of a farmhouse on Cowling Hill, but was sold as changes to the structure of the village began. The son of the landlord later opened the Bay Horse Hotel on the new road, which still stands as a main feature of village life.

6 adults and 4 children (4,8,9 and 14). We all had a great time the facilities were spot on as described. Sharon provided some flowers and birthday banners plus a bottle of prosecco a wonderful unexpected surprise. The kids and adults had a absolute ball, cinema room, pool table, darts and table football. The hot tub was a welcome relief when we arrived back from from doing the Cowling Pinnacle and Lunds Tower walk. Other walks are available and local eating establishments are listed in the overview that Sharon provides. Sharon was in touch prior to our stay to establish how the bedrooms were to be laid out single/double/twin and configurations for the kids rooms. Overall a great weekend. I have no hesitation in recommending Pinnacle View.

Sharon was really helpful. Lots of pretty villages and country walks nearby. Lots of room in the house for us to spread out. Loved the hot tub, games room and the cinema room. Kitchen area is great because the person cooking can be sociable with the rest of the group in the living area. The extra upstairs lounge is useful if we wanted to socialise in two groups, or watch different TV.

We really enjoyed are stay and the host Sharon couldn’t have been more helpful. We will most definitely be returning in the future, and I would highly recommend the property to others. The rooms are all spacious with enough bathrooms/toilets to accommodate large parties. The beds are very comfortable we all felt well rested on are return. There’s lovely walking routes near and a great selection of pubs/restaurants The hot tub was a great little extra. Perfect temperature and spotlessly clean.
