Honley is a thriving, historic village situated on the banks of River Holme, close to Holmfirth, Huddersfield and the stunning Peak District National Park. Honley has shops, a good variety of restaurants, pubs, a church and an annual agricultural show, along with regular bus services and a train station, whilst Holmfirth and Huddersfield have enhanced amenities. The Peak District offers many opportunities for walkers and there are lovely country and village walks starting from the cottage door. The Tour de Yorkshire runs through the nearby towns and villages, so why not hop on your bike and discover the area. A romantic base for a couple with plenty of places to visit within reach, ideal for walkers and cyclists.
