Situated in the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley, the cottage is the ideal spot for a romantic couple's break. Two steps lead you into this stunning cottage and welcomes you into a very attractive sitting room and dining area, boasting exposed beams and comfortable seating where you can relax by the fire after a day exploring the surrounding area. Bramble Cottage's kitchen is compact yet contemporary, with modern fixtures and fittings providing all that you will need for your relaxing break. The staircase leads you up to the first floor with a traditional sloping ceiling and A-frame exposed beams. The double bedroom is immaculately-presented with a TV and breathtaking views of the surrounding area. A luxurious shower room completes the accommodation. To the outside of the cottage is a seating area offering awe-inspiring views of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town of Holmfirth is beautiful and thriving, with a fantastic range of amenities and activities, something for everybody. The Peak District National Park sits just a short drive away and is most certainly worth a visit with incredible walking and cycling on offer.

Holmfirth is in the heart of the Holme Valley, on the edge of the West Yorkshire Pennines. Made famous by The Last of The Summer Wine, there is more to Holmfirth than Compo and Nora Battye’s stockings! The ‘Picturedrome’ venue attracts famous bands and is in the centre of the town. The pelotons from the Tour de France 2014 and the Tour de Yorkshire have both been through this town. It is in these hills where cycling’s triple Olympic Medalist Ed Clancy grew up. Holmfirth also has a swimming pool and fitness centre, parks, shops and restaurants. The people are friendly, the streets are quaint and the scenery is breathtaking. The Peak District National Park with its moors, dales, forests, lakes and reservoirs is also accessible. The Upper Derwent Valley is only a short drive away. Slightly further is Chatsworth, the stately home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and isclose to the market town of Bakewell, the home of Bakewell Puddings. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The National Coal Mining Museum, Wentworth Castle, and the Hepworth Gallery are also within short drives away and well worth a visit.

It is a warm and cosy little gem tucked away on the hillside with great views over the Holme Valley. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Great walks from the door and also a regular bus service nearby so we didn’t need to use the car all week. We highly recommend Bramble Cottage. Thankyou to Katie and Mark for a memorable week and we look forward to returning again soon .

It is clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. It is an absolute luxury to access so many gorgeous walks from the doorstep, we parked up and never moved the car until it was time to leave. There are lots of great places to eat in Holmfirth, also easy walking distance. We would certainly stay there again. Patricia Flannery

The cottage is warm, comfortable and homely and had everything we needed. We're still talking about how nice of a stay it was and have recommended it to our parents.
