About this property

This ground floor cottage provides luxurious, spacious accommodation with 2 bedrooms both with en-suite facilities and a free standing bath in the master bedroom. There is walking from the door over the Yorkshire fells and easy access to historic York.

Located at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds and only 10 miles south east of York, Fangfoss is an ideal base from which to take in the delights of Yorkshire, the historic city of York, shopping centres of Harrogate and Leeds and is within a short drive of the seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby.

The working farm is located on the edge of the village of Fangfoss and the local inn serving excellent food is within 200 yards. Fangfoss is a pretty village with church and gift shop and within 4 miles there are 2 golf courses. There is walking from the door over the farm and fells and the quiet country roads can be explored on one of the bikes available for guests use.

The cottages are part of Pear Tree Farm and have been lovingly converted from the old milking parlour, hay barn, stable, granary, milk dairy and calf rearing houses to provide luxurious accommodation retaining an abundance of original timbers and features which effortlessly combine with modern day luxuries including free standing baths in some of the bedrooms. The owners have paid amazing attention to detail to ensure your stay here is a myriad of surprises both on the inside and out.

Five luxurious cottages make up Bricknell Cottages, all named after the owners prize winning herd:- Roxy's Roost, Peach's Place, Clover Leaf Cottage, Ruby's Retreat and Ethel's Escape, they are all well equipped and have an abundance of original features and are either oil centrally heated or have ground source heat pumps, have electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave. The lounges are all luxuriously furnished with plasma TV, DVD players and comfy sofas for relaxing in. All bedrooms have flat screen TV and luxury en-suites and some of the master bedrooms have double ended baths. The shared use of the games room has a range of games and is great for entertaining the children young and old and for socialising with other guests.
