Complete with complementary use of a heated indoor swimming pool, all weather tennis court, gym and games room and awarded the top accolade of 5 Star Gold from Visit England/Quality in Tourism.

The cottage has an open plan living space with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a wood burning stove (note – only available from 30th September – 1st April), there is a dining area to sit and enjoy meals together.

The smart kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

On the first floor, there is a double bedroom with a stunning en-suite with a large walk in shower room, WC and hand wash basin. This floor also has a pretty twin bedroom plus a house bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and hand wash basin. A cot and high chair can be made available for the use of guests but can this please be requested at the time of booking. Guests are requested to provide their own cot linens.

Hurdles Cottage is part of a small, exclusive complex of just four luxury properties, there is a gated entrance, a gravelled driveway and pretty courtyard with parking, a central fountain surrounded by flowering plants, plus a terrace outside the property that has a table and chairs, where you can sit and enjoy drinks and meals in the open air.

The pool is fabulous, there is a smart changing area for both males and females and the water is warm. NB. The pool is closed during the winter months from 1.10.23- 31.3.2024

There is also a superb all-weather tennis court plus a games room with table tennis and various games; combined with the wonderful walks on the nearby Yorkshire Wolds and with the beach and Filey a c. ten minute drive, there’s plenty to do for all ages!

Driffield is a busy market town set in the Yorkshire Wolds, with a lot on offer for its visitors. There are many pubs and cafes to choose from, providing quality food and drink from local suppliers.

Visitors can enjoy shopping for local produce at the weekly market, held in Driffield every Thursday, which is a very popular local event and there is also the yearly Driffield Show held at the Showground every summer.

Accommodation

Note: Guests have complimentary shared use of the swimming pool (open between 8.30am and 6pm); the pool is 12m x 5m, the shallow end is 1.2m and the deep end is 1.8m.

There is an all-weather tennis court, gym and a games room that has table tennis, a football table, dolls house and other games.
For larger groups, the neighbouring cottages are The Old Barn, (8 guests) Cartwheels (6 guests) and The Furrows (6 guests).

The two properties next door, The Old Barn and Cartwheels, have locked, but inter-connecting doors, and can open into one very large property for family get-togethers or groups of friends of either 12, 14 or 18 people.
