About this property

Waterstalls Farm Cottage boasts an elevated position at the end of a no-through lane, roughly half a mile from the main road on the fringes of Walsden town, in the Upper Calder Valley. Right on the Pennine Way and close to Hebden Bridge and Hollingworth Lake, this is the ideal destination for a lovely break away with your family or friends. This characterful holiday home is nestled within the owner's grounds, with horses grazing in the fields and gentle lakes you can walk around, before spending your down time within the cosy sitting room. You can sink into the sofa on a cool wintry evening and get toasty and warm by the fire as you catch up on your favourite TV shows. Take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen to rustle up a home-cooked meal and get together around the dining table to discuss plans for the following day. Later, choose from a super king-size bedroom upstairs, which has zip/link beds for flexibility, or catch your rest in the single room. They are each served by the well-appointed shower room and boast remarkable views of rolling hills and vales. Outside, you have your very own private patio area for soaking up a balmy afternoon with a drink and you can greet the horses over the fence. Waterstalls Farm Cottage is convenient for exploring the northern Peak District, Bronte Country and Southern Dales, and you are also near the M62, taking you to Manchester and Leeds for shopping. Find all the essential amenities in Walsden and Todmorden, and then venture over to Hebden Bridge or Haworth for a pleasant afternoon out with the family at the Bronte Parsonage Museum or on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Enjoy a world of adventure from this cosy base in West Yorkshire countryside.

Walsden is famous for the Summit Tunnel, as well as the highest lock in the country. You can enjoy walking and cycling country within the Calder Valley and many amenities to suit all tastes close by. Visit the Stoodley Pike Monument in Todmorden, discover the Calderdale Heritage Walk at Dobroyd Castle and find plenty more to see and do at Hebden Bridge and Haworth.
