Being in the rural countryside, you will have easy access to many country paths for some walking and cycling. Just north of Hebden Bridge is the wooded valley of Hardcastle Crags, spanning across 15 miles with plenty of footpaths and a 19th century mill. Surrounded by many lakes, canals and reservoirs, there is plenty of opportunities for some sailing, particularly at the Warley Moor Reservoir, which is also home to a sailing club. If you're bringing children under the age of eleven, then make sure to visit Eureka!
