About this property

A rugged, traditional hideaway, deep in the Yorkshire countryside

Stones Cottage Farm lies in Oxenhope, near Haworth in West Yorkshire. With the wild heather and rugged moorland lining your path, you’ll be transported into the literary wonderland that was undoubtedly the inspiration for the Bronte sisters magnificent novels.

Feel your stresses disappear in the cosy living room, and take time to relax in front of traditional and very well stocked wood burner. Let your mind drift while cooking with the stunning views from the window of a modern and well equipped kitchen, and take the opportunity to cook using local produce for a true taste of Yorkshire.

The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and are the perfect combination of functional and luxurious, with yet more fantastic views, and the perfect place to rest weary heads.

You need look no further than the adjoining property for a day to entertain and tire out the younger guests, with a fully working farm, and the opportunity to get your hands dirty feeding the hens, sheep and other animals. If you visit during July, you may get the chance to witness the famous Oxenhope Straw Race.

If you need more reason to visit, then The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is right on your doorstep, and you can enjoy a trip on the restored steam railway, running through the valley from Keighley to Oxenhope, which was featured in E.E Nesbitt’s The Railway Children.

To make things even easier for our guests, locally sourced ingredients can be delivired to the property if you are ever in the mood to cook yourself up a full Enlish breakfast. Payment for these can be settled via paypal or cash to the owners of the property during your stay. Your online food shopping can also be received and stored in the property ready for your arrival.
