On entering the cottage, guests will be delighted with the spacious ground floor sitting room, with its old ceiling beam, panelled walls, lovely window seat and feature stone fire surround with an inset gas fired stove, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The adjoining kitchen is again spacious and provides everything you would need for a self-catering holiday, with a small dining area and plenty of storage and food preparation areas. The staircase leads from the kitchen to the first floor to two bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom with a luxury double bed is bright and cheery, full of character and charm with old beams and a lovely window seat and a single bedroom with nice views across the garden. The main bathroom benefits from a large corner bath and a separate shower cubicle. The rear garden is lawned and enjoys pleasant views out across the nearby countryside, making it a great place to enjoy some alfresco dining. The nearby town of Keighley offers Victorian buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants, plus close by is the National Trust owned East Riddlesden Hall. The historic village of Haworth is within easy reach, as is the town of Skipton with attractions including its fantastic bustling high street and historic castle that can be toured or seen from taking a walk through the woods. Further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate and the whole of the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park to discover, making sure you will be spoilt for choice for some great days out. Oakworth is a small Pennine village just two miles from Haworth, overlooking the Worth Valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film version of E.E. Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children. Besides its close proximity to Haworth and the moors, Oakworth has an attractive ornamental park, and is within easy reach of the town of Keighley.
