About this property

A delightful, stone-built, mid-terrace cottage situated in a quiet corner of the famous village of Haworth, ten miles from Skipton. This first class Haworth cottage enjoys an enviable central location just a two minute walk from the famous high street and the many attractions of this lovely village. Set out over three floors, this Haworth cottage has been thoughtfully converted to provide superb facilities, yet it still retains the immense character and charm of the original dwelling. Modern styling and elegant furnishings are evident throughout this Haworth cottage, which features a lovely first floor sitting room with cosy woodburner, a delightful bedroom and modern bathroom and a stylish ground floor kitchen with dining area. This Haworth cottage is in a fabulous location for a romantic break, with excellent restaurants, cafes and good old fashioned, traditional pubs on the doorstep. Steeped in literary history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters, Haworth has much to offer including a variety of walks, allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic rugged moorland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. A wonderful Haworth holiday cottage, perfect for a small family or a romantic getaway.

Home to the famous Bronte sisters, the small village of Haworth and the surrounding moorland inspired the women to put pen to paper and to write what have now become classics of English literature. With its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, there is a wonderful period atmosphere in this charming town set against the backdrop of countryside that would eventually be made famous in ‘Wuthering Heights'. The Worth Valley Railway is also nearby and was used in the film 'The Railway Children'. Trips around the old village of Oxenhope on the wonderful steam trains make for a special day out whilst The Bronte Parsonage museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail all make equally good attractions whilst the market town of Skipton – often called the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales – is only a short drive away.
