About this property

A charming self-catering apartment within a lovely period property, occupying a commanding elevated position in the village of Haworth, home to the famous Bronte sisters. Overlooking the church and the main high street in the very centre of this ever-popular village, this luxurious apartment provides first class holiday accommodation, ideal for a romantic break. Charming and full of character, guests are welcomed by an open plan living area of real style, with a bespoke shaker-style kitchen, a rustic dining area, a wonderful stone fireplace, mullioned windows overlooking the high street and individual styling of great merit. With original beams and lovely paintings of historic figures of the area, the room is a great place to relax and unwind after a day out on the local fells. The bedroom, with views to the famous church, is spacious with a super king-size bed providing that extra hint of luxury, including a feature fireplace and a lovely mixture of contemporary and antique furniture. The bathroom is again another design masterpiece with modern fittings, an original Thomas Crapper sink unit and a spacious walk-in shower with glass surround. Haworth is steeped in literary history, former home to the Bronte sisters, with traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, and a variety of walks, allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff and wander across Top Withens. Skipton is nearby, voted as the ‘Best Place to Live’ in Britain in 2014, with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. A truly first class holiday home. Note: This property can be booked with Ref 915793, together they sleep 4.

Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway. Visit Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

Perfect location. Some of the cutlery and crockery was a bit grubby. Had to take shower heads off to clean as water wasn’t running freely but it wouldn’t stop us recommending you

The owners provided good reference material and a lovely welcome basket. Haworth is a charming village with lots of wonderful gift shops, galleries, cafés and pubs and fabulous walks. Great place for any Brontë enthusiast and the Museum and Church are just outside. Near by is the pretty town of Hebden Bridge. The only problem was that it was so lovely, that I did not want to leave and now everywhere I go, a part of me will be wishing I were back at Clock View.

The location is absolutely perfect - on the main street and the bedroom is on the back so it was peaceful overnight. Just a 2 min walk to a big car park. The flat is really cute with original features and a lovely range of prints on the walls. We had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed! The only thing I would mention is that the sofa is a little tired and I think the springs are going so that was a little uncomfortable. Having said that, we'd love to return one day!
