About this property

This charming, stone-built Victorian terraced cottage is situated approx 300 yards from the central cobbled main street of Haworth, in the heart of Bronte Country. Mulberry Cottage is a wonderful base for families, friends and couples looking to explore the town’s cobbled streets and charming independent shops, as well as venture out into the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Fully renovated by the current owners' who have produced a first-class holiday home, restoring much of the original character and many of the original features of the cottage. The front door opens directly into a bright sitting room with a comfy leather corner sofa, woodburning stove in an original stone fireplace, beautiful feature beams and oak flooring. The kitchen is well-equipped in a cottage shaker style and has a fully restored York stone floor. It has a dining area overlooking a private, gravelled garden bordered by a beautiful willow fence, carefully crafted by the owner. In the summer, the garden is a lovely place to sit and relax with lunch, or a glass of wine. Upstairs are two pretty bedrooms, including a wonderful master room with a wall-mounted TV and flexible zip/link beds. The bathroom oozes luxury with a roll-top bath, where you can unwind with a calming bubble bath after a long walk. Exposed stone walls, stone floors, stripped pine doors and a feature fireplace in the bedroom upstairs all combine to create character that makes you fall in love with Mulberry Cottage, from the moment you walk through the door. The town of Haworth itself is sure to keep you busy; there are plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat, as well as cobbled streets and alleyways to explore. Further afield, you can easily visit Skipton, venture into the Dales, or spend the day in Harrogate, and enjoy a spot of afternoon tea at the famous Bettys. A fabulous holiday home in a popular destination for people of all ages!

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren.
