I have just returned from a long weekend at Hartcliffe View to celebrate my birthday, and was blown away by the house itself and the scenic surroundings.The property was superb and far surpassed my expectations. All of the bedrooms are very well done out, with comfortable beds. The large kitchen has everything that you could need and provided a great congregating place for us all. The games room on the top floor was brilliant and was a great sauce of entertainment for us. The landlord made it clear that nothing was too much trouble and their mother in law popped by to check that we were settled in ok, and that we didn’t need anything. I would definitely recommend this property, and would certainly look to re-book again. Excellent experience and good value for money.

Just returned from a week at Hartcliffe View house.Fantastic house in a great location.Massive bedrooms made for a comfortable stay for everyone.Good size kitchen, dining room and lounge.Everywhere was very clean.Some very scenic walks and only 40 minutes or so from Derwent reservoir, which is well worth a visit. Getting there over Snake pass provides some fantastic views.Be careful with little ones on the marble floors, particularly the staircase, as they can be very slippery - non-slip socks would be ideal for them as the floor is very unforgiving.

Just returned from a 3 night stay Jan 15, regretting we had not booked for longer! We were a party of 15 who booked the house for a 50th birthday celebration. From the minute we arrived at the property we were all blown away. The property is exceptional, it is fully equipped and furnished to a high standard with everything thought of for a comfortable stay, (as you can see from the pictures.) The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is that well equipped we were able to book a chef and a waiter from the Aldea restaurant in Holmfirth to prepare and serve a 3 course meal at the property to make the celebration extra special.The games room was excellent and kept everyone entertained. The garden is large with the patio area equipped to enjoy the stunning views, the ideal place for a summers BBQ. Although we were there in winter! But we did have the bonus of snow which just enhanced the property and the surroundings. It’s a special and welcoming place made so by the approachable and accommodating owners, who are on the end of the phone if needed. I would highly recommend Hartcliffe view.
