This quirky character cottage built in 1465 is set next to the owners' home, just a five minute walk from the market town of Bewdley in Worcestershire. This is a beautiful cottage with many original character features throughout including traditional oak flooring and original beams. Set in an elevated position, but close enough to the town centre, makes it great for a family get together or gathering with a few friends. Entering from street level through the stable door, takes you straight into the compact, well-equipped kitchen. There is a small seating area here, making it a great place to socialise whilst preparing an evening meal, with the family shower room across the way. From here takes you up a few stairs to the first floor sitting room with a comfy sofa and an electric stove; a great place to relax after a busy day out and about. From the hallway there are two sets of stairs, each taking you to a separate bedroom. There is a twin and a king-size double, both decorated to a high standard with original beams and a feature fireplace in the master bedroom. At the rear of the property there is a small sun room with seating which then takes you through to an enclosed patio garden with furniture. This is a good place to dine alfresco or even catch some rays as the garden is very private, with it not being overlooked at all. Down the lane takes you to the town centre of Bewdley which has much to offer with a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants, along with many interesting shops and galleries, as well as The Severn Valley Steam Railway, the Wyre Forest with many good walks and cycle routes and the West Midlands Safari Park. For those guests looking to explore further afield from this Bewdley holiday cottage, there are many day trips throughout Worcestershire and Shropshire that are well worth a visit, with Bridgnorth, medieval Ludlow and the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge with its wonderful museums just a short drive away. This superb character cottage is set in a very picturesque area and would make a perfect holiday at any time of the year.

The attractive market town of Bewdley sits on the banks of the River Severn, and is close to the medieval Wyre Forest, with its many walks and cycle trails. Bewdley offers much to delight visitors, with a good choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants along the riverside, many tiny shops, antique and craft galleries, and all surrounded by beautiful countryside with gentle rolling hills, steep wooded valleys and meandering rivers.
