Tenbury Wells is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire, which lies on the south bank of the River Teme. The history of Tenbury Wells extends as far back as the Iron Age. The town is often thought of as the home to the Castle Tump, but this is now in Burford, Shropshire due to boundary changes. Though the Tump, possibly the remains of an early Norman motte and bailey castle, there are no visible remains of the castle that was constructed to defend and control the original River Teme crossing.

Absolutely gorgeous property, lovely location, well equipped, communication was spot on, lovely welcome package, Family of 6x plenty to do, games room, secure yard with garden toys/activities and huge garden with a fantastic long drive, beautiful scenery, lovely farm animals all around, not too far from towns/villages but far enough, just loved it!

Once again, it did not disappoint. The cottage is very well equipped, with everything you might need. We felt at home immediately. Thank you, Rose, for the lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers - a lovely touch, as were the full soap dispensers in bathroom, downstairs toilet and kitchen along with full washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets - very generous of you. As we said last time, the cottage had been renovated to a very high standard but kept some of the old features e.g ceiling beams. We were very lucky with the spring weather which gave us some insight into how lovely it would be there in the summer. The large patio area is south facing and a lovely sun-trap all day. It was also lovely to see, and hear, the sheep and lambs in the fields next to the cottage. Being colder in the evenings allowed us to enjoy cosy evening by the wood-burner. Altogether, we would thoroughly recommend Orchard Cottage and would love to return someday.

The cottage is set in beautiful grounds with farm animals all around. It was our Granddaughter’s 2nd birthday while we were there and Rose kindly allowed Matilda to collect eggs and we met a 4 day old lamb! We will definitely be returning as this makes for a really relaxing holiday.
