The Worcestershire town of Malvern, dating back to the Bronze Age, is located on the eastern side of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The hills offer 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with stunning scenery. Malvern boasts shops, cafes, art galleries, restaurants and a luxurious spa, along with antique fairs, farmers' markets and the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. There is also a theatre, which enjoys productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The area offers climbing and abseiling, fishing and river cruises, and a variety of National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards to visit. The Cotswolds are within easy driving distance.

We only had one slight issue due to my wifeâs lack of agility in her getting into the shower. We managed by me assisting her. It would be useful if extra handles were provided to assist access for older people. The situation of the cottage was excellent for visiting the beautiful countryside. There were many good places for eating including the pub across the road which serves wonderful Indian food.

Beautifully clean with everything you could need for a home from home holiday. Thoroughly recommend it so much so weâve booked to return later this year. Also would recommend the local vet should one be needed while staying there.

The only negative was the lack of a footpath along the main road but, of course, there's not a lot that can be done about that.
