Once serving the hamlet of Coombe Green, S90518 enjoys a fabulous position set amongst common land, where the sheep graze freely in the rural setting between Malvern and Ledbury in Worcestershire. This is an ideal, detached cottage for those wanting to explore the area on foot. There are many super walks on offer over the surrounding common land and across Castlemorton Common. There are also walks directly to Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. S90518 has been renovated to make delightful and comfortable accommodation, but has still kept some of its original charm. With an open fire to cosy in front of after a day on the hills, and a fantastic large garden which covers a 1/3 of an acre, this is the perfect place for family and friends to stay all year round.
The village of Welland, which is well served with a pub, post office, village shop and church, is just over 2 miles away. Larger and more extensive facilities can be found in the spa town of Malvern, 9¼ miles away, where there are pubs, restaurants, shops and a theatre which is famous for its festivals. The market town of Ledbury, is known for its poetry and culture, and access to the black and white trail of the nearby villages. The riverside town of Upton-upon-Severn has many festivals during the year including jazz, folk and blues festivals, and boasts attractive shops and delightful inns, and is just over 6 miles away. The Three Counties Showground which hosts many shows including the RHS Spring and Autumn shows and the Royal Three Counties show is 5 miles away. A little further afield are the cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

"Lovely location, quiet and peaceful. Cottage cosy and comfortable. Plenty to do in and around the area. Would stay here again"

"This property was described as being set in an area of "Common Land", and indicated a peaceful and tranquil country setting. In fact - 8 feet from the wall of the house was a B road that that could only be described as a rat run at certain times of the day - from around 6.00 am to 8.00 am and again in the evening - cars, lorries and other vehicles thundering past the property. Could not avoid the noise or the impact of the headlights on the walls of the bedrooms. The interior photos on the website make the property look light and spacious - look carefully - every ceiling light and table light is on to enhance the lighting. In fact - the property is 300 years old and has small windows appropriate to that era. And upstairs - you need to walk with a stoop if you are 6Ft tall or over. However - superb location for exploring and walking the Malvern Hills which are nothing short of spetacular."

"The garden on a warm, sunny day, with its plantings, feature shrubs, layout and size, once renovation has been completed, will be a particular feature.Being able to get and park a car (or more) privately off road is also a feature.Linking through conveniently are the fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable sitting room."

"Amazing walks in the Malverns, including one directly outside the house. Had an enjoyable time relaxing by the fire in the evenings. It was nice that most things in the house were clean and new. There are also plenty of local pubs. Overall we had an enjoyable and memorable time."
